Earlier in the year 3 of our very own CLC Champions, Millie, Sataya and Lily created their own picture book for the CBCA storybook competition. Their story is entitled The Rainbow Tree.
Students worked collaboratively, to develop a storyline and bring the book together. They spent a number of hours working on the book during Art club and throughout many of their lunchtimes to complete their entry.
Their efforts impressed their teacher, Ms Inwood who said ‘It was great to see the girls working together as a team, problem solving issues and using the skills they learnt in art class to pull together a book. I think it’s quite amazing. Despite interruptions and restrictions caused by COVID19, students displayed a great sense of perseverance to complete the book on time to enter the competition. I’m really proud of the work they have done.”
The Make Your Own Story Book Competition is held annually and attracts entries from young people across Western Australia. We wish our students the very best of luck for the competition.
