Local Students Shine at Australian Junior Track National Championships

Coastal Lakes College is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Year 11 student Cooper Dunlop and Year 8 student Cienna Tinkler, who recently showcased their cycling talents at the Australian Junior Track National Championships in Brisbane held from March 22-26 as part of the Brisbane Cycling Festival.

Cooper delivered an amazing performance, claiming gold in the U17 Boys Sprint and bronze in the U17 Boys Individual Pursuit, proving himself as one of the top young cyclists in the country.

Cienna also made an incredible impact on the national stage, securing three bronze medals in the U17 Girls Team Pursuit, U17 Girls Individual Pursuit, and U17 Girls Sprint, a remarkable achievement at such a high level of competition.

Coastal Lakes College Principal Paul Cooke expressed immense pride in both students. “Cooper and Cienna’s dedication, perseverance, and passion for their sport are truly inspiring. Their achievements on the national stage reflect their hard work and commitment, and we couldn’t be prouder of their success,” Mr Cooke said.
