Our Year 10 students have been making quilts and toiletries bags for the Women and Infants Research Foundation (WIRF) in preparation for their excursion next week. For nearly 50 years, WIRF has been at the forefront of vital research and support programs that have transformed clinical practice and saved countless lives. They work to ensure the health of women and babies is prioritised through cutting-edge research, education, and practical care solutions.
If you would like to support WIRF, we are taking donations of women’s underwear. Please note we are only accepting donations that are new and in original packaging with the most common sized required being 10-16. Donations can be dropped off to front Administration and addressed to Mrs Havlin.
Year 11 students have been busy crafting handmade dolls as part of the Uthando Doll Project, a powerful initiative supporting children in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa – a community deeply affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
The project highlights how play is essential for a child’s healthy development, especially during times of trauma and hardship. Through their thoughtful creations, our students are offering comfort, connection, and care to children in need.
